Position Overview
The Accountant provides essential support in day-to-day financial activities, including processing transactions, maintaining accurate records, and assisting with reconciliations. This role collaborates with the Senior Accountant to ensure timely and accurate reporting, while also helping with any project-based accounting tasks as needed.
Key Responsibilities
1. Transaction Processing
  • Record invoices, manage expense reports, and handle accounts payable/receivable.
  • Conduct bank and credit card reconciliations regularly.
2. Data Entry & Record Keeping
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records.
  • Organize and archive accounting documentation for audit readiness.
3. Month-End Support
  • Assist in closing activities: preparing journal entries, reconciling accounts, and compiling financial data for review by the Senior Accountant.
4. Support for Projects & Audits
  • Provide data and documentation during internal or external audits.
  • Collaborate with team members on project-based invoicing or cost tracking.
5. Continuous Improvement
  • Suggest and implement ways to optimize everyday accounting operations.
  • Learn and adopt new systems or processes introduced by the Senior Accountant or Finance Lead.
Qualifications & Skills
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • Chief Accounting Certificate is mandatory
  • 1–3 years of accounting or bookkeeping experience; internships or part-time roles included.
  • Familiarity with accounting software and proficiency in Excel.
  • Strong numerical aptitude and attention to detail.
  • Good communication skills and a team-oriented attitude.
