This is a freelance, project-based role ideal for professionals with experience in healthcare, pharmaceutical marketing, or medical communications. The Medical Strategic Planner will collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop strategic insights, brand narratives, and medically-sound content direction. The role is remote but requires strong familiarity with the Indonesian healthcare landscape.

We are seeking a freelance Medical Strategic Planner to support our team on a project basis. This role is ideal for someone with a strong background in pharmaceutical marketing, healthcare communications, or medical affairs, who enjoys turning complex science into meaningful strategies.

🔍 What You’ll Do:

  • Work closely with medical writers, creatives, and client leads to develop medical and strategic insights for brand planning and campaign development

  • Analyze clinical data, treatment guidelines, market research, and competitor landscapes to uncover key opportunities and threats

  • Translate scientific knowledge into strategic recommendations, ensuring alignment with brand objectives and regulatory guidelines

  • Contribute to the development of brand stories, positioning, messaging frameworks, and medical narratives

  • Provide medical insights that guide content development across multichannel deliverables (e.g., patient education, HCP campaigns, sales aids, digital assets)

  • Attend and contribute to internal brainstorming sessions, client meetings, and medical reviews as needed


✅ We’re Looking For:

  • Based in Indonesia and familiar with local HCP/patient dynamics

  • Minimum 3–5 years of relevant experience in medical planning, medical writing, or brand strategy (agency, pharma, or medical comms background preferred)

  • A degree in pharmacy, biomedical sciences, medicine, public health, or related fields

  • Strong analytical and critical thinking skills with the ability to distill complex medical information into actionable insights

  • Familiarity with APAC or SEA healthcare landscape is a plus

  • Excellent communication and collaborative skills – able to work with both scientific and creative minds

  • Comfortable working on an ad-hoc freelance basis, with professional reliability and responsiveness
